Not only was I born but I was heading toward puberty by the late 70s. :)

THANK YOU for the suggestion! I will totally check it out. Julia has suggested a few as well. I have now finished Season 1 of Downton Abbey and will be starting Season 2 tomorrow...and I couldn't be more excited (and terrified, knowing I'll have to go to once a week like everyone else, soon!)

I loved Monarch of the Glen so much. I keep telling Tracey to give it another try. She thought it was silly when she watched 10 minutes of the first episode and turned it off. I keep telling her everyone thinks that but by Episode 2 or 3 she'll be hooked. It's Downton Abbey - with more laughs - but no less drama! :)Purgatory Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04206226666250028550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2193939705192575193.post-41239065070064543852012-01-24T19:48:00.741-05:002012-01-24T19:48:00.741-05:00I have the Flambards on order as well as Middlemar...I have the Flambards on order as well as Middlemarch! Just to let you know - since I'm really old and was actually an adult in the late '70s, there was a BBC series around 1979 that I fell in love with (were you even born then?) The name of the series is Flambards, Same scenario - early 1900 England, horses, airplanes, social conflict, LOVE, and then the war. I just purchased it on Amazon and it might be available on Netflix. If you need another British series after Downton Abbey, I highly recommend it. I just bought season 2 and 3 of Monarch of the Glen and Can Not Wait!! My Southern accent is sounding a little British for some reason.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
