I've always meant to read other books by her, and I think I'll start with this one. :-)
~LJGPCarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17418344673253711176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2193939705192575193.post-41518206600248820582011-05-01T00:52:36.588-04:002011-05-01T00:52:36.588-04:00I love Margaret George, I read Mary Queen of Scots...I love Margaret George, I read Mary Queen of Scots and the Isles and The Autobiography of Henry VIII with Notes by His Fool, Will Somers and both were excellent.mymacintyrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01973578685527489123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2193939705192575193.post-46855050850729938322011-04-30T23:21:53.004-04:002011-04-30T23:21:53.004-04:00OFF TOPIC

I am currently almost done listening to Outlander. I listened to Voyager and Breath of Snow and Ashes last summer, but those are the only two I've experienced on audio.

DAVINA PORTER IS BREAKING MY HEART. The only book in the series that made me cry while reading was the second book at the end (the cottage, Lord the cottage!).

BUT *SPOILERS FOLLOW*

The scene when Jamie tells Claire about seeing his father before getting flogged? I had never thought about how awful it would have been for Brian to see his son go through that, and it broke my heart. Wentworth (of course) also broke my heart, and now it's almost time for Claire to exorcise Jamie's demons (a.k.a. Black Jack Randall), and I don't think I'm going to be able to listen to the end of the book while driving (ala crying so hard when Jamie and Claire meet again in Voyager that I actually had to PULL OFF THE INTERSTATE because I was such a hazard to myself and others).

Sigh...I feel better now.Jo Mhttp://bookreadingbookworm.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2193939705192575193.post-81327961920429055272011-04-30T15:27:29.821-04:002011-04-30T15:27:29.821-04:00The BBC's version of Elizabeth is one of my fa...The BBC's version of Elizabeth is one of my favorites if you haven't seen it yet.
