Pixar's "BRAVE"

Feast your eyes on the newly unveiled artwork from Pixar's upcoming animated feature, "Brave".   I would not have known about this had it not been for an email from MOP friend, Sara, who I have been praising the better part of the day.   LOOK at this picture!  I can't take my eyes off it!!!

I am feeling a little "Meh" when I see that Reese Witherspoon is playing the lead character and can only hope girlfriend is brushing up on her Scots as I type.  COMMA HOWEVER - Kevin McKidd is doing a lead voice....as is Billy Connelly who has a tremendous Glasgow accent and will be playing a character named - wait for it - KING FERGUS.

  2. Awesome! I was wondering what Pixar's next movie was going to be. How cool!!
    And that red hair.

Not sure about Reese Witherspoon, I keep imagining her with a southern accent like in Sweet Home Alabama, lol

  3. Oh bummer, it looks like the red hair is the princess.
Thought we had us a hot cartoon Scot.

  4. Okay, one more thing and I'll hush up, lol
it says Reese can't do it...
"Entertainment Weekly also reported actress Reese Witherspoon (“Walk the Line,” “Legally Blonde”) will no longer voice the main heroine, Scottish princess Merida, due to scheduling conflicts. The character will now be voiced by Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald (“No Country for Old Men,” “Boardwalk Empire”)."

  8. Wow I totally skimmed and missed that the Scottish actress is taking over for Reese! YEY! (Nothing against Reese - I love her. Just not as a Scot. I'll take my Scots Scottish, please.)

  10. exactly! I love Reese Witherspoon and she can act her pants off, but it's SUCH a wasted opportunity not to use a Scottish actress - why fake that lovely accent when it exists so abundantly in nature?
And, love the illustration of the standing stones!

  11. Speaking of movies in Scotland.. I just saw a great one called Stone of Destiny. It is about the true story of 4 University of Glasgow students who recaptured the Stone of Destiny from Westminster Abbey and brought it back to Scotland. It was a great movie..
