Beautiful Outlander Bracelet

Feast your eyes on this GORGEOUS bracelet our friend Lesley mentioned in her one of her comments from earlier today. Isn't it stunning?? I totally want it. It was designed by someone on Etsy.com who goes by MaryFaithPeace. Wow. I can't stop looking at it.

  1. Umm, hope I don't make anyone too mad, but I bought the bracelet! (Said last one in stock, but I'm sure more can be made.) I think $60 is a reasonable price, I'll let you know when I get it if the quality is okay.

I don't usually wear charm bracelets (too jingly) but this one would be so much fun to play with! I love how the designer to picked some lovely symbols to use. Don't know if she read the books herself, but someone provided her with good information.

    Thanks for posting this!

  3. Good for you, Christina! I'm glad it's going to be worn by someone who loves Outlander! I hope she's going to make some more! I'll send her an email and find out!

  4. I was inspired to assemble my own bracelet. I bought a plain bracelet, not having skillz to make chain mail. I have started collecting charms and already have a horse, dragonfly, pirate ship, and a wee cheetie.

  5. -ooh christina lucky you :-)enjot wearing it when it arrives.
-terry, jewellry making is one of my hobbies so i,m also going to have a go at my own bracelet, i fancy knitting a cuff in sterling silver wire and take it from there with the charms and pearls.( i wasn,t going to say anything about having a go myself as i didn,t want to admit to copying the idea but seeing as you said as much first :-) :-) )
-carol please let us know what she says about making more.

  6. Knitting with wire is brilliant! I could crochet with wire and it would reduce the wrestling with jump rings if I load the charms on the wire before crocheting. Hmmm...

  7. WOW! Thank you Carol for featuring the Outlander Celtic Link Bracelet.

While you expressed your appreciation for Diana's books through your site, I did so by doing what I love: I am a jewelry artisan and frequently get inspired by what I read. (I began the Outlander series in 2009, quickly going thru the books - couldn't help myself - and finishing EIB just recently.) Also, as a fan of the Author's Attic, I didn't want to be in conflict with their own jewelry line. Anyway, after months of research and design, I've come up with my own Outlander collection (there are more items in the works....coming soon). This bracelet has been kindly mentioned in Karen Henry's Outlandish Observations LINKS and by Laura in the Outlander Book Club.

The bracelet IS hefty and yes - jiggly! While it is eye-catching to wear, I have mine displayed as you see in the photo: shadowboxed. I have mementos of every fictional work I enjoyed displayed with the books on a shrine (er - shelf) in my house.

Isn't imitation the best form of flattery? Knitting sterling wire - what a wonderful idea! (One of the lines I'll be introducing will involve wire work - not knitted, though.) Let me know if you need charms - depending on which ones, I can probably spare a few (just send me a convo on Etsy).

As for quantities in stock, I have materials to complete three bracelets, but two have already been reserved. The current listing on Etsy will be the last one for awhile, until I can replenish supplies.

Well, I better get back to the workshop.

    Warmest regards,
    MaryFaithPeace

  8. Received the bracelet today (I was out of town for a couple of days) and it's really cute! MaryFaithPeace is a very professional seller, the bracelet arrived beautifully wrapped with a little gift card (that was the cover for the special Outlander giveaways the publisher did). It is obvious that a great deal of work & thought went into this project & I look forward to wearing it (too hot for jewelry today!)

    Thanks for everyone's kind words!
