So Many Outlander Excerpts... So Little Time

WHAT was I thinking NOT pre-ordering The Green Slime - aka An Echo in the Bone -  in paperback?! I just ordered it - as did Tracey - and we will be making a Skype reaction video the second we see the new "Exile" excerpts. Hopefully this will be happening on Thursday... if Tracey gets her book from Borders.com by then. (I use Amazon Prime, which I LIVE for, and will most assuredly have it by Thursday.)

AS FOR THE NEW MURTAGH SPOILER.... (Something tells me I will soon be saying "LORDDDDDD the new Murtagh spoiler!") Yes. I WILL read it SINCE it's a spoiler about Outlander... and not Book 8. (I will never, ever, ever, ever, EVER read a spoiler about Book 8. Never. Ever.)

Squeeee! I don't know what I'm more excited about! The Exile excerpts from the Graphic Novel...or the Murtagh spoiler!

  1. OK, here's the thing that I didn't understand from DG's blog -the page she put in her blog is NOT in the Exile excerpt. (Exile excerpt - God, that is hard for my fingers to spell...) en-t-whay...

  2. Is the paperback released on amazon prime for the smaller or bigger print? I have all the bigger print paperbacks.

  3. Christie - you're right. The book is 192 pages. What's in the new ECHO paperback is SEVEN of those pages, plus the cover page. So, what's on DG's blog is not the same as the pages included in the EXILE preview.

Angela - this is the trade-paperback of ECHO (the larger size paperback). If you have the US "jewel-tone" covers, it will match your existing set. But it's very, um, GREEN. :-)

  4. Carol - yeah, Diana dropped a pretty big bombshell on Compuserve yesterday in response to one of my questions about the EXILE preview. Lots and lots to speculate about there, that's for sure!

  5. P.S. My detailed comments on this EXILE preview have been posted on my blog, here.

Don't read it if you're wary of spoilers! You Have Been Warned. :-)

  10. Yes you do, Erin. And saying that makes me the BIGGEST HYPOCRITE on the PLANET! I'm the one who's all "The Lord John books are just a marketing ploy to get us to spend more money!" but with this I'm like "BUY IT LASS! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BUY IT!" LOLOL!

Seriously, peeps. It truly is the Midnight Sun of Outlander.

  11. Is it really that GREEN? Kind of makes me wish I had bought them all in hardback...

  13. Jo - yes, it's VERY green, but my impression was that it looked much better (more subdued) once I got it home, away from the bright lights in the bookstore.

(BTW, the hardcover is still available, from Amazon and elsewhere.)
