Pride and Prejudice

Just had to share.  It's a rainy day here in NJ...and even though I have lot more to accomplish today, I can't help but sit here and watch this scene from Pride and Prejudice.

Major SPOILER scene.  Don't watch if you're not familiar with the book/film.

The slow walk in the mist makes me giddy with glee.  Imagine a scene like this in Outlander?  le sigh...

  1. Uh, I looooove P&P!! I especially love the one with Colin Firth......I've watched both of these so many times.

Oh, and my other JA fav is "Persuasion". LOVE it!! Nice tear-jerkers to watch on rainy days......when you should be catching up on chores....but you just don't want to.

"giddy with glee" lol! That pretty much sums it up!

  3. As Mr. Darcy emerges from the mist I swear I saw a kilt swinging around his knees!

I love the lines -- "One word from you will silence me forever" and "You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love, I love you".

    le sigh, indeed!

  6. Carol -- this is amazing. I love it everytime I see it. OMG Marci is right...a quilt on Mr. Darcey would make it perfect. Major sigh...

  8. *siiggggghhhhhh* I know Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy is near perfection, but Matthew Macfayden's Mr. Darcy makes me weak in the knees.

  13. Yes it is her... she told me about commenting here yesterday as were driving across Indiana and back for a fundraiser for a friend of hers with cancer. She also said she considered jumping into chat last Monday as well but never has and didn't end up doing it.
