OUTLANDER on Starz Season 1 / Part 2 TRAILER!

Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ.  This new trailer for Outlander's 2nd half of its maiden season on Starz makes me weep with _______ (insert appropriate adjective here; "fear", "rage", "joy"...they'll all do nicely.)

They had me at that haunting, ethereal voice.  And this got me thinking about the fact that I need to fill up my iPad with it - and similar voices - STAT.

Suggestions??  Anyone??  I'd love to hear some!

A Canadian example. She may fit what you are looking for.

My yoga instructor will play this album every so often. It is beautiful. But she has many others...

    1. I second Loreena McKennitt. Devi Goodchild is another one (a little less Celtic, but haunting nonetheless). Lisa Gerard (from Dead Can Dance) can get ethereally haunting as well.

  8. You might want to check out Mary Jane Lamont who performs Canadian Gaelic music/songs from Cape Breton Island. One of the last areas in Canada where you can hear Gaelic. In the 19th C lots of it was spoken in Ontario -- or at least the part where my family lived. My great great grandfather listed Gaelic as his mother tongue on the 1901 census.
Natalie McMaster from Inverness Co on Cape Breton plays traditional fiddle music, if that's something you'd be interested in.

  9. Kate Rusby (Celtic/folk songs) has some wonderful songs. Many of them are part of the BBC series "Clatterford" (great series to watch on your hiatus from Outlander!).
