  1. OK, so... Scottish Prisoner slated for next fall - straight from Herself's mouth.
And get a load of all the characters walking by in the background - even a guy with a paper bag over his head! hehehehe

  3. My hubby and I were standing just over to their right watching! :) I really wanted to go up to her to talk after but didn't want to be a nuisance. It was funny because we were coming down the escalator and I saw her immediately and said "There she is!" and hurried over and the crazy thing was not one other person had any idea who she was. We were the only people standing there watching!

  5. Omigod you guys, contemporary crime novel! How thrilling. I am a huge lover of that genre and (obviously) adore DG so that sounds amazing. I am so happy she kept repeating that Book 8 is the priority and at the top of the pile! It probably saves her a ton of enraged fan mail :-) And, she seems like such an amazing interview - she's a consummate pro. I wish I had seen her wandering around ComicCon unchaperoned :-)!

  6. Sirena - the Tom Kolodzi novel (tentative title "RED ANT'S HEAD") has been on her work-in-progress list for a number of years now, so who knows when she'll ever finish it?

As for SCOTTISH PRISONER, Diana said on Compuserve this morning, "MIght be worth noting that I am invariably wrong when I give estimates of time, length, etc. Fwiw!" So, don't take that date as set in stone, it's just an ESTIMATE, and things may very well change.

  8. I know i am behind but when you live in a small town with no book store....I JUST GOT THE EXILE!!!!! and finished it. I have to agree it could have been stick figures and I still would have loved it! I got it a few days ago and with my husband standing right by me I couldn't just turn to page 5 but as soon as i could lose him...HOLY page 5! I really love the all books but I didn't think I would get into all the side stories that come in the extra books. But I might have to get all the side stories that come out now. Anyway I loved it! Just wanted to share with someone.

  11. Cannot wait for LJ & the Scottish Prisoner...Voyager was a favorite of mine - I think because it showed bits & pieces of Jamie's life without Claire. (Heartbreaking at Helwater, & Ardsmuir??). Also, I love Lord John. I think he is cleverly written (dry humor & all). & if you haven't read the LJ stories, it is certainly worth it if you are reading or have read Echo - gives you much insight of other characters as well.

  14. I love that the interviewer was a fan -- not just someone sent to do a job that day. She asked the questions that I would want to ask -- of course, I've a reputation for being strong willed and candid -- so I probably would have pushed too hard for a Book 8 eta. Really excited about Lord John and the Scottish Prisoner. I've enjoyed the Lord John novels, and one of my favorite bits in the Outlander series is how Jamie is reflected by John and vice versa.

  15. I am rereading (listening) to DiA. Jamie and Claire just got to Culloden. I don't know if I can get through it. I am getting a tummy ache in anticipation. It is just as bad this time, or even worse.
