Outlander Chat Tonight

Outlander Chat - 9:00PM Eastern - TONIGHT!

13 comments:

  1. My 89 yr old aunt just finished OL and she called me to report. (BTW she just went to see Ringo Star in concert) Here were her comments:

    1. I just ordered the next two books, but they won't be here till next week. I think I will read OL again while I am waiting.

    2. I really thought Clair would go back through the stones....BUT I AM SOOO GLAD SHE DIDN'T. I really like Jamie.

    3. I have been speaking Scots for the last week and I dinna ken if I can stop.

    4. I really like Jenny but I can't believe she just grabbed Jamie's privats, would you do that to your brother? Even if she did change his diapers. (I said Jenny was just two years older than Jamie, I don't think she changed diapers. She went on about this for a while.)

    5. Dougal has a real evil side - sometimes you love him, sometimes you hate him. He sure wanted Claire's land and Jamie wasn't even dead yet!

    6. I am so glad BJR is dead. She (DG) will really have to come up with somebody bad to outdo BJR as the villian.

    7. Now that BJR is dead, What happened to Frank? I guess that means Claire can never go back. (I didn't tell her about the first chapter of the DIA :( )

    My aunt kicks butt.

  3. Agreed. To the point where I think I have to find L's original posting of her aunt's assessment - and post them BOTH as a full blog post.

    I. Love. L's. Aunt. We should do a special Outlander-Only chat one night and have her come! :)

  4. I lurk there - sometimes they take themselves a bit too seriously.

What amazes me about Aunt Helen is this is her first reading. I hope my brain is that good when I am that old.

  5. I wish Aunt Helen could come to a chat, however, she is blind and couldn't participate on her own. She lives in Texas and I live in Indiana so I can't take her dictation. She might be able to participate in the blog mmmmm it is a thought.

  7. I missed last night too - :(
But I have an excellent excuse! I'm in Boone, North Carolina - rumored to be ancestral home of Fraser's Ridge!!! It certainly is beautiful enough! I'm looking high and low for tall redheaded Scots - so far no luck. Of course, we are also looking at Appalachain State University for our 17 year old son. They are recruiting him to come for baseball. Anyone know anything about this place?

  8. This is a random message.
Have you seen this short movie? It is fun, and well done, but a wee dorky. If OL was made into a movie it could easily come off as dorky it not done correctly.

  9. I have seen this movie and it was a "B" movie but I am so starved for anything set in Scotland that I will watch anything.

  10. Ooh - Christie H - I have visited (non-Scots) family in Boone NC and can definitely see it as Fraser's Ridge!! OMG! It makes total sense how Jamie could have built the house where there were no roads and impossible to get to! Verra hilly country, aye!

  11. Oh God I love L's aunt! I especially picture her chatting it up in Scots and being unable to stop. I totally ken, L's Aunt!

  13. L-your Aunt Helen is a stitch. I wanted to tell my mom about her today and she complained about how long it takes her to get through the OL series. Keep us posted on her thoughts about the other books!
