Droughtlander Methadone

"I've read Outlander...NOW WHAT am I going to read?!?"

I'll tell you what... THE BRONZE HORSEMAN by Paullina Simons.  THAT'S what.  Trust me.  Have I ever steered you wrong???

AND - not only is it a PHENOMINAL series, but the Kindle version is only $3.00 right now on Amazon!

Shura is waiting...

  2. After I get through the Outlander series reread...this one may have to be next. Although giving up Jamie & Claire might require some therapy. Seriously. Don't. Know. How. I'm. Gonna. Do. It. Thank goodness April 4 is right around the corner! I WILL SURVIVE! :) Looorrrd, how long til book 9?

    1. Heather S, I'm like you - I can't tear myself away from Jamie and Claire just yet (even thought I've read all 8 books and the Lord John books, too, LOL) Well, except I did just reread To Kill A Mockingbird ;)

I gave up reading fiction for Lent and I have to tell you, it was a very good test of my convictions - I've really been missing Jamie and Claire!

    2. OMG I know. I know! It's really hard to reach into your brain and change the channel. But when it's time; you'll know where to go. :) (Until then, Lorddddddd April 4th!)

  3. On your recommendation I checked this book out from the library on Friday, have spent most of my weekend reading, and am still not finished! Giving myself permission to read all weekend was justified by saying I'd get back at real life on Monday, and now I see that there are two more sequel books! The story has been amazing so far - thank you!

  4. I dunno....... They've been cooing about this book for a while over at "That's Normal" and about its hero who I think is named Shura (?). That in itself makes me verra skeptical.

But if you say so, Carol..... Still rereading Outlander and Dragonfly at the moment though

  5. The Bronze Horseman is a close 2nd to the Outlander Series, HANDS DOWN! I'm itching to pick it up for a 3rd time, in fact, but may wait until part 2 of the TV series is done in May.

Tatiana is the measuring stick of woman, like Jamie Fraser is for men!

    1. 100% agree. Closest I've come is the Wilderness series which was wonderful and long, but this is even better. Deeper, richer, love it.

  6. Thank you so much for this post because I went to buy it and I already had it in my kindle, waiting for me!! I can't believe this *treasure* has been sitting there for who knows how long!!! Wow, this book sucked me in big time! And I had 10 pages left and saw the word "Trilogy" in the title and was SO HAPPY! The second book was really good too. I'm making myself wait for book 3 on hold at the library because I don't need any more book crack!!! It was seriously wonderful. And let's just say that Jamie and Claire had a wedding NIGHT but Alexander and Tatiana have a wedding MONTH. there's a whole lotta lovin going on, but the book is SO much more than that and then it all builds for book 2. My LOOOONG thank you!! Emily

  7. Hi, recently found your blog. Love reading the blog for all the Outlander books - I've read all several times thru all, but this gives it all a new perspective. A few years ago I searched Amazon looking for something similar to Outlander to read and came up with The Bronze Horseman - they were great! Facebook also recently recommended Exit Unicorns trilogy. I've finished the 1st book and I'm reading the 2nd. It's no Jamie & Claire story, but there is a Jamie in there. Looking forward to your comments after Saturday! Thanks for the perspective and the laughs! Anne from MA
