Droughtlander Reads?

THANKFULLY, Droughtlander comes to a close next Saturday, April 4th...but in the meantime, I've been looking for a book to read in its absence.

I am currently reading The Secret (Highlands' Lairds Book 1)  from Julie Garwood, on advisement from those awesome Book Bosses, Hildy and JJ.  I just started...but I have high hopes since The Book Bosses always hit the mark.

So what about you?  What has been keeping you busy until Jamie and Claire grace our presence with THEIR presence on Starz next week???

  1. Carol, that sounds like it might be a good book! I was just now watching a show called American Heroes-American Revolution and they are talking about Simon Fraser!!! The actor they have portraying him doesn't look like he would be related to our Jamie (grin)

Please keep us posted on what you think of the book ;)

  3. OMG!! You have to read The Secret because it's the gateway to the awesome sequel Ransom. I will bug you till you read both....so get cracking! LOL. I named my middle daughter Gillian because of the heroine in Ransom. Just sayin....I love me some JG Highland historical romance. :)

    1. GET OUT T!! How did I not KNOW that?!?!? That is awesome...and your hubby is awesome for being cool with that, too. (I've always said there would be another Edward or Jamie in this world had my son been born later.) ;)

  4. I never take a day off for myself, but last week a girlfriend got the first season on DVD of OUtlander, and we spent EIGHT HOURS watching Jamie (and the other people) while eating and drinking.... We are now ready for April 4!

  6. I have read several but three I'll reccommend are The Fragile Beasts, The Gods of Gotham, and a fantasy, Heaven's Net is Wide, which is a prequel to more in the series.
