My Outlander Purgatory Turns FIVE!

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear MOP, happy birthday to you!

Whether you've been reading my ramblings for five years...or just stumbled upon MOP yesterday, THANKS SO MUCH for all the laughs, cries, and everything in between.  And thanks so much to Diana Gabaldon for changing so many lives with the stroke of her pen.

If you keep reading, I'll keep blogging.  And Tracey will keep Tweeting.  And we'll both keep making those CRAZY videos.  We are truly blessed to know all of you!!!  ❤︎ Carol

    1. Happy birthday, to MOP! You were my first introduction to the Outlander Fandom, and I love you both! Your videos are so much fun to listen to, and I for one, really appreciate the time you put into them so faithfully. After each episode, I can hardly wait to hear your thoughts on them! Anyway, thanks verra, verra much from Anita Mitchell!

  5. Congratulations!! The OUTLANDER fan community really wouldn't be the same without you! What would we do without your videos and Monday-night chats? :-)

  6. I'm a fairly new follower of your blog and podcasts, so I hope you will keep going! Thank you so much for your commitment of time and energy, sharing your love of this amazing Outlander world with all of us ;) (I have a sister that I'm trying to pull in as a fan - I think I'll have to get her to watch one of your podcasts with me - that and seeing Sam as Jamie should do the trick, LOL) Thank you again

    2. Oh believe me you are appreciated...In fact, I have to admit that you all kept me up till 3 am reading some the blog archives and watching a few of you and Tracey on the video casts...I can't believe I didn't wake my husband up laughing or shouting my agreements ;)

I'm especially enjoying reading the posts of your re-reads and all of the comments that go with them. I was one of those clueless souls who had never read the books (hello, where was I all these years?!?) I'm a huge knitter so had all of these friends going on and on about the series and planning knitting parties and special yarns and patterns and such to go along with the premier. So I started watching...and watching...and watching (though I will admit I was pretty ho-hum about it till injured Jamie showed up in front of the fire, hehe) and then I was hooked. Decided I'd start reading the book when the "midseason break" was on, but couldn't stand it in between The Garrison Commander and The Wedding, so broke down and read all of Outlander in two days. Thought my eyes were going to fall out of my head, but all of a sudden this whole new world opened up and now I've joined the ranks. Read all the main books plus The Scottish Prisoner back to back but of course I'd read so fast and missed so much. What a joy going back and savoring every page.

A familiar story I know, but there it is! Hoping maybe I can join in a MOP Chat one of these days...
