  1. Hi ladies...Carol, you were so figgity this time...loved the episode...do you think Geillis's confessed thinking Claire would have a lightbulb moment and go back to 1968 and fix everything for her??..but if Geillis's burns in the eighteenth century she won't be in the future...some how I have a hard time believing she all of a sudden becomes "Good Geillis's" and does not have an altirier Motive...

  2. You both do such a great job - Thanks so much for sharing your insights into the book/series - WOW! I LOVED episode 111, too. We actually watched it twice last night. I cried both when I read the book & when watching the scenes with Claire & Jamie in the show!! Like you said, Carol, "I was a mess!" I LOVE that this incredible book & it's characters have come to life in this series. They are perfect!! I'm so thrilled to have found your site!

  3. Once again great recap ladies. I actually watched the episode thinking what your reactions would be. Amazing acting--they are all scary good. Jamie nailed "It would have been easier if you were a witch" with a little half smile. Also Tracey you were right about McFly reference (my husband kept talking about flux capacitors while watching it with me). Regardless of that--all is forgiven because it was my very favorite episode. Thank you so much for your infectious enthusiasm and carrying on despite being tired and living your lives. You are the first source I go to--even before Ron's podcast. Keep up the good work!

  4. I got my vaccination on my thigh, although I'll have to ask my mother why... I was born in '48 so must've gotten it in the early 50's.

    1. At some point they switched the vaccination from the arm to the thigh for girls. That way it wouldn't be so noticeable on bare arms.

    2. besides the line "on your feet soldier" from the first episode. Claire answers Jamie's question "are you ready to go home" she says "yes" the way she said "yes" to Frank's question of "was she happy", when driving in the car.

  5. Thank you lovely ladies for another wonderful and hilarious recap! I laughed out loud a few times. You touched on everything that I had questions about in the episode. This was my favorite episode yet. The trial was hard to watch, even though as a book reader I knew pretty much how it would work out. All the acting was tremendous throughout the entire episode. I was SO HAPPY that some of my favorite lines were included – the “secrets but not lies” part (do you think that may have been included because of the fan reaction to it being left out of the wedding episode?) and “it might have been easier if you were a witch”. I was like SAY IT! SAY IT! Question for Carol, why did the lack of cottage bother you? Also, I agree Claire is a little stoic at times – do you recall in the book, after she made her decision and went back to Jamie, she said something about it being a close call between hot baths (that she would have been able to have in the future) and Jamie. Like Tracey, I was glad they did not leave it as a cliff hanger of her approaching the stones – again even though as book readers we know what choice she makes! Thanks again ladies!

  6. Thank you so much for the hilarious and enjoyable review of 111! I loved loved it. I have one question

    ********spoiler alert********

I watched Jamie coming in to rescue Claire and there is no way he did not see Loaghaire she was directly in front of CLaire watching and does not move out of the way til Jamie bends over Claire. . Since he told Claire about the advances that Loaghaire made towards him do you think they will discuss the trail also. I do not see how he will be able to marry her later unless she can pretend she has changed and is not the same person. I know that she seemed sweet and kind to him in the book but turned nut case after they married. I give them full permission to change that part of the book. If Jamie only Slept with William's mother and that was forced I could deal with much better than 3 women besides Claire. Just pondering what do you ladies think. We can have Marselli without Loaghaire marriage because Loaghaires place is not that far from Lallybroch. What do you guys think? What would you do if you were writing for the show? Fun to ponder where they are going. This is the only think that bothered me.

    1. I am thinking they are going to have to change the reasons that Jamie marries Laoghaire. It's really been bothering me too!

      Delete

    2. My big concern was that Jamie would not marry Loaghaire in the future because there is no way Jamie did not see her at the trail and marching behind Gellis. My husband disagreed he said even Jamie ask Claire if she was a witch so Jamie will understand why Loaghaire felt that way and Jamie knows Claire was from the future so Loaghaire and Jamie will marry. My husband is not a book reader he see everything through unbiased eyes I am bias. I can still say I do not like it and I give them permission to kill Loaghaire. Sorry I did not mean that well yes I did. :) I get emotional when it comes to ms Loaghaire. grrrrrr They are doing a great job with the show just like Diana did with the book. When Claire and Jamie reunite in the future it is going to make the fight by the river look like a picnic. :D

  7. This is HANDS DOWN one of my top two episodes! It was SOOO good! The dialogue and interaction with Claire and Gellis was fabulous, Ned Gowan was fantastic as usual, and Jamie saving Claire (yet again) was great. However, one thing that keeps popping into my mind when I see Jamie and Claire is....will there ever be a real-looking kiss...or is that just me??? And it's funny because it's not that we need to see one, but it just seems so strange that we never do. Jaime was pretty much breathing in Claire's mouth and....nothing....huh?? These two folks have such great chemistry (on screen and off), just seems surprising that we haven't seen one.

    1. I have noticed that they sometimes do great with the kissing and sometimes it seems forced or uncomfortable. I know that the kiss by the stream seemed odd maybe it was suppose to be. I did drama in college and high school kissing someone is just uncomfortable practicing was more uncomfortable. They will get better and as they come to know each other better as acting colleagues. Everything else is spot on they will improve with each season.

    2. Yes, that non-kiss was awkward for sure, but last week when they kissed right before Jamie left with Dougal...OMG....that was the hottest scene for me so far. So much emotion in it...swoon...sigh :)

      Delete
    3. You don't think the kiss in Episode 110 before he leaves with Dougal (and he says not to swallow her) didn't look real? I thought that was one of their best. Anne from MA

    4. Wow, I thought the kissing by the campfire in this episode was one of the most tender, intimate, emotionally connected scenes of the entire season!

  8. I hear on Twitter that there is no season 3 signed for yet. Could this be the reason that the writers are almost reckless with the plot manipulations? Do they feel they need to go "all in" on current scenes at the expense of the book, such as with Laoghaire? I think they puff up the scenes so the actors have more time, such as a Frank, Geillis, Laughaire, in current scenes. They are all good actors, but I feel the writers add material and shift content too much. It is important that nonreaders and the current audience understands the scene, though. Loved this episode, the acting is terrific, and yes, you could see Jamie thinking. Ane there were less breasts, fortunately though we saw Geillis' again!

    1. I forgot where exactly but Ron said recently that fans should be contacting Starz now to request Season 3. I'm not sure how to do this bc I don't know if tweeting gets heard by anyone- You can probably tell I'm not that into SM. I am kind of scared about Season 2 only getting 13 eps. How are they going to manage to compress the book into only 13? As you say Season 1a & 1b, comprising 16 eps, is somewhat dashed together at times.

  9. Tracey and Carol, THANK YOU! You two are my favorite part of digesting the tv show. I am, I confess, a severe book snob. Sorry, can't help it! So glad to have discovered MOP - you're helping me keep a more balanced attitude about the adaptation. I have to keep telling myself that it's an adaptation for tv and non-book-readers....I won't get to actually see these episodes for a while (no tv at home, so I wait to get recordings from my dear daughter, and will eventually buy the dvds).
You are both so entertaining and fun, and Carol, we think so alike about it all - your comments come right out of my head! Tracey, you help me see things from another angle, which I often need help with!
Carol, "apparently the source material doesn't mean a whole lot right now"...yup, totally agree!
Tracey, "I'm from the future"...yup, did not need to be spoken!
Oh-Oh-Oh and I LOVE your "out of movie experiences" (what my girls and I call these): "No! The defense is wrong!" Hahaha love it; one of our all-time favs. Here's one for you that comes up all the time when we are experiencing a 'mashed potatoes' conversation: "These mashed potatoes are so creamy" know where that one's from? Here's a hint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MM52By6RHA Anyway, thanks again, you are great, and my weekly go-to for Outlander discussions. P.S. Carol, let Tom make you a key-ring :-)

  10. Every new episode I make a point to watch by myself first, then again later with my husband. Thank goodness, because by the end of TDM, I was like the kid who falls down, gets hurt, has a huge cry, finally calms down then remembers the pain and starts crying all over again. I couldn't help it....I did the same thing when I read that part in the book. To me it signified all the painful goodbyes in a persons life...and of course I personalized it.
I also felt the "I'm from the future" line was a tad out of tune, but after reading Diana Gabaldon's reference to episode 9 that she was surprised how "hoppitty" readers were about Jamie and Laoghaire's exchange at the stream, I decide to slow my roll and let the T.V experience happen. Just to see that "big ol" gorgeous Jamie face in HD on television in my living room and hear he and Claire say those lines.....absolute heaven!!!
Having said that, the 4 words that disturbed me the most so far were in episode 9. As Jamie and Claire were making their big Fort Williams escape, after the powder magazine blows up, they are standing on the ledge looking down and Claire says something like, "are you sure there is water down there? Jamie replies back, "Aye, I think so". In my mind, Jamie would never stop and say, "mmmmm let me ponder that a minute Claire". During a crisis, Jamie always seemed to be more of the, "grab your purse and hike up your skirts because we are out of here" take charge kind of man.

  11. What tha?!?
    On your feet soldier!!! JHRC
I get that it's a throw back to when they met.. but after all that should have been heavy contemplation, hours at the stones, making THE decision.. we get a flippant line like that? Talk about deflating the moment.

They expand roles, insert scenes that never happened in a book that already has too much to choose from, and will knowingly have to cut a lot. Switch out dialogue that's already been written.. and book people are waiting for.
Each episode, I am increasingly let down. Ron and Co's definition of close-to-the-book, isn't the same as mine. I'm a crier.. big fat cry baby with some shows and movies.. this episode, not one tear. Not even an almost tear.

    1. I loved the episode but also agree that the "On your feet soldier" line, although witty, definitely deflated the emotion of the moment. This was one time that Claire should have shown more love/emotion as I felt when reading the scene in the book. The last few minutes of the show just seemed too hurried.

      Delete
    2. Although I am loving all things about this show, I agree with both of you. I felt that these last scenes are so huge that they deserved more air time. I really wish they had stretched out the agonizing, emotional nature of being at the stones ( for both Jamie & Claire). They should/could have milked that scene for all its worth! I wanted more, dammit! :) I wasn't real impressed with "on your feet soldier" but, then again, Claire often leaves me flummoxed by the things she does and says in the book, too.

    3. Remember, it was dark when she made her way back to the campsite where Jamie was. So, she had hours to contemplate her decision. I recalled in the book that I thought she was sort of trivializing her emotions and reason, so I am glad the way they played this one. I bet that in the trip to Lallybroch we will hear more about it. Also, I really liked the "on your feet soldier". It was far more tender than in the book where she literally jumped on him in the cottage and scared him to death. Remember, that is the line she used when he started to fall in love, so it has SPECIAL MEANING to them both. Loved it when they showed him crying.

  12. Love this video! Just wanted to say I feel that Laoghaire left or hid as soon as Jamie appeared. I feel that Jamie never saw Laoghaire there so he went ahead and married her.

    1. I got the same impression. One minute she's standing right in front of Claire, a foot away from Jamie, and the next she is completely gone. She does show up again next to Father Baine in the procession up to the pyre; with no expression on her face; which I though weird. I mean, wouldn't she be crying her eyes out? Jamie, love of her life, just swooped in to save the love of HIS life. If she is so distraught over losing him (as she stated at the trial) wouldn't she be beside herself with grief at that moment? Yet, nothing.....
I think the whole Laoghaire disappearing act is the writes attempted to save the future story line here. I think they will try to convince the viewers that Jamie actually did not see she there, and Claire never tells him the roll Laoghaire played in her demise. Therefore, Jamie will marry Laoghaire with out knowing the truth. I thought this story line was weak in the book, but now in the show, I find it impossible to believe. There is no logical way Jamie didn't see Laoghaire standing right in front of Claire sneering at her while she is being brutally beaten. At this point I don't see how the writers can write this logically. I feel like they got a little cocky, thinking they could connivence the viewers this story line would work in the future (aka Voyager). But I feel viewers will not be able to except Jamie marrying Laoghaire (as they have written her in the show) now and will hold it against him.

      Delete
    2. I'd have to disagree. If you watch that scene closely you will see that Jamie definitely did NOT see Laoghaire in the courtroom. The moment Jamie entered the room and started shoving his way toward Claire Father Bain turned Laoghaire around and pushed her out of the room. He may or may not have seen her in the mob outside. Claire didn't tell Jamie about Laoghaire in the book so there's no reason to expect her to tell him on the show. Regardless, we were all as outraged as Claire was when we READ that he had married her. Are we expecting they will write that out of the show?

      Verity+

      Delete
    3. Oh I agree that is what the writers are going for... hoping for; to convince the audience that Jamie didn't see Laoghaire there. I'm just saying it was a poor decision for the writers to make. Jamie was literally feet away from where Laoghaire was standing right in front of Claire in a very small space. Trying to convince the viewers that he didn't/couldn't see her is a bit far fetch, if you ask me. Book Laoghaire was not even at the trail. It made it more believable (but not much) that he might not have none about her involvement because Claire never told him, and no else knew. But in the show version, that it not the case....everyone knows...but Jamie. It makes for an even less believable plot line. That is my point. Oh yes, I have no doubt that they will be writing Jamie marrying Laoghaire, it will just be even less believable than in the book because of the way they have now portrayed Laoghaire and the roll she played in the trial.

      Delete
    4. Whether or not he saw Laoghag is irrelevant. There were a lot of spectators and some were sympathetic to Lottie and Claire. So, L. could lie to Jamie and tell him she went to try and help Claire.

      Delete
  13. I agree the writers are really going to damage Jamie's character if her marries her but they are thinking with their sweet 21st century minds thinking we will view if through our 21st century minds and forgive her as being young and dumb and that she changed.

The book portrays her as sweet when they meet later in life at the dance and he is drawn to her because he has that need to defind and protect something , someone and his sister convinces him Loaghaire is the right choice. Just think though watching the confrontation when Claire comes back is going to be dynamite and watching Loaghaire be put in her place will be priceless.

We will all see and they are just going to think we are dumb and write it that way. I believe next week we will see some tender moments with them that were not in this episode of her staying if we do not they are missing the point of the whole story. I want more sweet tender moments not necessarily sexual just tender and the sweet dialogue with it.

  14. I didn't have a problem with the "on your feet soldier" line. I just finished the last book, and I was constantly thinking to myself that Claire has the most inappropriate responses sometimes. And it is weird, because she's socially awkward in her verbal responses to Jamie, but she always seem to know the cool thing to say in ACTUAL social situations. What comes to mind is SPOILER ALERT!!! when he's asking her about sleeping with Lord John. She says some really anachronistic stuff during that convo.

    1. If I remember the book correctly Ned knew that Jamie was on his way and was dragging out the trial to give him time to arrive.
    2. Book Geilis suspected that Claire was from a later time but wasn't positive until she saw Claires pox mark on the "May Pole" BTW May Poles are VERY VERY old Pagan tradition.
Book Geilis gives Clair the message of 1968 "I think you can go back" to Dougal later on.
    3. "I'm from the future" YES, way too cheesy and got a big ole Irish girl eyeroll.
    4. Book Jamie didn't really believe Claire until she started to dissolve into the rocks and he pulled her back. I had thought that Jamie was taking her back to the rocks to prove that she was not from the future and when she started to dissolve he was OH SHIT now what. I don't think he intended for her to choose but once there he was forced to except that it was her choice. I wish the TV show would have shown that.
    5. In all it was a great show and still not better that 109 but since 110 was my most disliked show it beats that one by a gazzillion

  17. I was prepared to be disappointed by this episode because I never thought they could do it justice, and I have to say I really loved it. Lotte Verbeek was unbelievable. I do think they should've spent more time at the stones with Claire's decision and I hated the "on your feet soldier" line. And Jamie grabbing Claire back from the stone (because he wasn't ready to let her go) was exactly the OPPOSITE of what Jamie does in the book. One of the greatest lines ever is when he says it was the hardest thing he ever did to NOT stop her. Also, I'm nervous about next week because the conversation at Lallybroch when Jamie jokingly explains when he fell in love with Claire is one of the all time classic Jamie moments and I will be beyond disappointed if they skip it! --- Thanks for the great recap!

  18. Once again, a very entertaining re-cap, Tracy and Carol! Here in Canada, there is a 24-hour delay to watch the episodes and it drives me crazy that you are recapping and I can't watch right away! This morning I decided to catch up with you before workI. Needless to say, I ran a little late.
I loved that episode so much that I couldn't sleep after! I also would have loved to see Claire start to vanish into the stones before being pulled out by Jamie. That would have sealed the deal in terms of the time travel story. BUT, the look of controlled heartbreak on Jamie's face when he says, "Good-bye Sassenach" ...... that got me blubbering. Once again Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe pull off bravura performances. As an aside, the term "barbecue". I think I read once that it originated in the southern United States which were colonized by the French. A whole pig on a spit was said to be cooked " barbe a queue" meaning from "beard to tail". It does seem to be a distinctly American thing. Until next week, adieu!

  20. Auntie Lamb here -

Loved the episode and (as always) your recap. You guys are treasures!!

    Random thoughts ...

    1) I, too, am concerned about future seasons (Book 3+). I heard somewhere that three seasons were contracted up front when the series was given the greenlight and they were just being strategic about trickling out the "renewals;" and I keep hoping that was true. I can't believe they'll show what happens at the end of Book 2 and NOT give us what happens at the beginning of Book 3 (spoilers concealed to protect the innocent).
    2) I was surprised how much I liked Lotte Verbeek in this ep. I was not expecting that. I was NOT surprised at loving Bill Paterson's Ned Gowan, I have adored his work for 30 years, Go find a copy of a completely wonderful Bill Forsyth film called "Comfort and Joy" from the mid-1980's. It's adorable - and VERRA Scottish!
    3) Ron Moore has said that the scene where Claire tells all to Jamie has Claire doing most of the talking (I agree about "I'm from the future" - I would have used the book's "I haven't happened yet" line) BUT that the scene belongs to Jamie; and I definitely agree that Sam Heughan makes it his own without saying hardly anything. Those EYES!!
    4) I agree that the ending scene at the camp could have been better written. "On your feet soldier" probably harkens back to Ep 1's "On your horse soldier;" but I wish they'd found a better way for her to wake him. I like how in the book she lay next to him before he responded to her in his sleep, only to jolt awake on realizing that she was really there.
    5) The kissing IS inconsistent; and I also agree that I hate his continual smoothing her hair out of her face. This is a couple that did some of the best kissing EVER in Ep. 7; so we know they're up to the job!!
    6) I'm hoping we'll get some of the other conversation from the cabin ("I prayed for courage all the way up that hill yesterday") early next episode before they head to Lallybroch, BUT there are a few moments from THAT sequence that are among my favorites in ALL the books (the "Third Reason" AND that-scene-at-the-fence), and if they don't include those I'm grabbing my pitchfork and heading for Scotland and the production offices!!
    7) I can't imagine how they're gonna finesse Leghair going forward and only hope they have that challenge!

Love you guys and this site!!

  21. Funny to see all the issues with "on your feet soldier"--to be honest, I kind of liked that line and felt it was in character. Remember that Claire and JAMMF are not necessarily the most romantic people on the planet--neither one is going to be calling the other his or her sun and stars anytime soon, y'know? I think that "on your feet" was a way add a little humor and levity and seemed in line with what Claire would do--at least to me. I suppose they could have done something with the hot baths line, too, like, "It was a close call. The hot baths almost won out" or something...

    1. I am totally with you on this Tracey! I liked the "On your feet, soldier" better than what was in the book! That line was from the moment Jamie first fell in love with Claire and is SO Claire.. In the book Claire laid down beside Jamie without saying a word. When he startled awake he knocked them both onto the floor and she said, "get off of me!" How romantic was that??? All of the Favorite Lines that I keep hearing people grieving over haven't even happened yet!

  23. Anonymous Too:

Does anyone remember the rosary that Jamie gave to Claire? I don't know why he had it instead of Claire, but he may have stopped off at Castle Leoch to get it on his way to rescue Claire. Claire is tied to a stake and Jamie rides in on his horse and throws it like a lasso over Claire's head and it settles round her neck with the cross between her breasts. If she had been a witch, the rosary would have burned her skin. I was hoping to see that rescue.

Jamie married Laoghaire because she was a widow with two daughters, Marsali and Joan. She needed a provider and a father for her girls. He did it out of obligation as the Laird.

    Thanks for fun recap!

  24. One of the things I keep thinking about is how these awesome actors will barely be seen from here on out. Geillis won't be back til season three, Colum and Dougal and the rest of the Castle Leoch crew won't be on screen much now ( if I remember right) until the second half of season two and then not for very long. I will so miss Angus and Rupert! Hard to believe Graham McTavish won't be around for the long haul...such good actors. But can't wait to see who they cast for Bree and Roger and Ian! I think a Frank flashback would've been a nice touch...to remind us of what she is giving up even though OF COURSE she is going to choose Jamie!! :) I love the show and think they are doing a great job. Sometimes I think Jamie's/Sam's expressive eyes come across as crazy eyes once in a while. Ha ha!! Thanks again for the recap!! I love them for the books as well. 26. I absolutely loved this episode! I rate it right up there with The Wedding and The Garrison Commander. Loved every scene with Lotte - simply amazing. I enjoyed Catriona's heartbreaking reveal better than the hysterical tantrum in the book. I loved every minute Sam was on the screen - he delivered most of his best lines without ever opening his mouth. I thought it was genius to place the Secrets but no Lies line here instead of The Wedding episode. I loved that Jamie believed Claire because he had faith in her heart and what they had between them - and that he didn't need a corny CGI vanity piece to convince him. I liked that they focused Claire's decision solely on her feelings for Jamie without fear of the stones to muddy the water. I bawled by eyes out through that last scene. There is absolutely nothing that I would have liked done differently. I actually liked it better than the book version.

Don't think she would have lasted a day if she freaked out when it got bloody! And I thought her tantrum was sort of disrespectful to Jamie as well. So I LOVED THIS EPISODE.

    2. I am SO with you on this! In the show it was emotionally cathartic, so heartbreaking you could feel her anguish! In the book it felt confrontational to me. She had already assumed that he wouldn't believe her and she was already angry with him about it. Didn't like it. Don't get me wrong, I loved the book series but I have never treated it as if it were the Bible. There ARE things in the book that I didn't care for. I'm loving a lot of the changes being made in the series.

After 11 episodes I've learned two things. I watch an episode several times (with and without closed captioning) before I make any comments because you miss SO much in the first viewing. And I've learned to be patient and not expect everything to be delivered in the same sequence as the book and to appreciate things that are depicted visually instead of vocally - because that's how adaptation works. The "Secrets but no lies" is a perfect example. We didn't get it in the Wedding Episode (right before she lied to Jamie, tried to escape and the strapping scene). It fit PERFECTLY in this episode. So, if I don't get my favorite line from the book I don't automatically assume that they just cut it out, I just start speculating where they might put it. It's a lot easier on my nerves that way :-)

  30. Just watched this episode again and thought it was pretty much perfect. This time around I really liked all of the book changes I complained about earlier. Liked the non-kiss, loved "on your feet soldier," the ending didn't feel rushed to me this time around. Wow....just, wow

  31. Maybe I'm the odd one on Claire's "On your feet, soldier," but she is ex-military. To me, both of them are warriors, and I had known a former WWII WAC (don't know exactly what that stands for- Women's Auxiliary Corp?) in my younger days. Even as a civilian, she still used military lingo even affectionately to us younger folks. I kinda see Claire that way. Yknow how Jamie affectionately calls C sassenach.

  32. In one of these interviews w Lotte, she explained that she played Geillis as having known about Claire Randall's disappearance in 1945 bc she studied her case before she left in '68.

  34. Just watched it again of my it gets better and I like it more with each view. Wow anyone like me though do you need a button on the remote that says Shut Up Claire for Your Own Good! I would save allot of my breath if I had one rather that telling her through my television rather forcefully. :) Love all the conversations and interpretations wonderful place to gather.

  35. I need one of those buttons on my remote. Remember when she ended up in BJ's lair after almost going through the stones? She almost talked her way out, until she kept talking about the wife of the Duke. And when, in this episode, they came to arrest Geillis, instead of hiding, she goes "on who's authority" Still doesn't realize that there is a time to be quiet and run like HELL.

  36. Valerie yes we all need one for sure! We would save Jamie so much time if we all had one!

  37. Another focus appears to be LegHair- There was a fast-moving promo recently in which I thought I saw the character being attacked by a man, and I haven't seen it since (hate to think I was hallucinating or something...). Did anyone else see this??? Anyway, that might explain some things later on.

  38. It was BJR I saw it did not know if it was Loaghaire but looked like it by the hair not sure it was her though because of the blue bow in the hair could be someone from Lallybrock just have to wait and see. If it is her BJR is hunting Jamie and Claire wow this could get crazy if Loaghaire is involved.

When Jamie kisses Claire by the river I know to some it seemed awkward I took it as him trying to separate from her knowing she was going to leave.

I have not heard much on Ned but what a lawyer if I am ever arrested please come represent me. He put his whole being at risk for Claire wonder how this will impact the future.

    1. Thank you!! Since that little video piece seems to have been withdrawn as quickly as it appeared, I had wondered what exactly I had seen, and why it was pulled. Guess we'll find out...

    2. Looks like it was at Lallybroch! watch this video and you can see the hall and background canle wall sconces are the same! So not Loaghaire looks like maybe a flashback to when BJR was at Lallybroch the first time and beat Jamie and attacked Jenny!

Here is the video with the quick view you ar etalking about twith BJR

    3. I agree. It was at Lallybroch when BJR showed up the first time. But, there is one scene where BJ is holding a knife to Claire. Wentworth?

  39. Overall, I think Ron&Co are making the series better, albeit odd inconsistencies. I think one of the actors mentioned early on that it's an add-on to the existing books. I am just so pleased w finally seeing the events becoming clearer than in the book.

  40. Agreed! Since not everything is from Claire's point of view we see so much and have questions answered we were not sure of! It is great!!

  41. I am dreading the Wentworth episode. Saw a couple of comments DG made on CompuServe. They are going to rip our hearts out :-(

  42. The Wentworth episode will be terrifying to watch. I expect though it will be masterfully executed and leave us very traumatized!. (Not as much as Jamie though)..
SPOILER ALERT: The treatment Claire gives Jamie is similar to some methods used in modern psychotherapy.. a hypnotic regression to the event....
