DeleteIn the book Claire told Jamie she saw one of the men from the attack. He had escaped. Then Jamie left and it was implied that he killed him. A slightly different scene.

DeleteDon't forget - in the book Jamie killed the one rapist that called Claire by his wife's name I think. Jamie killed him in cold blood way after the rape happened

Regarding Bree knowing about William, in the show they had a whole scene where Jamie shows Bree the cameo portrait of William as a young boy, I think it happened before Roger Bree and Jemmy left to go back to their own time which failed. I have always wondered reading the books, if Diana ever gets to write anything about Roger and Bree looking in their own time to see what is recorded about the 9th Earl and what happened to him historically.
