Just had to share. It's a rainy day here in NJ...and even though I have lot more to accomplish today, I can't help but sit here and watch this scene from Pride and Prejudice.
Major SPOILER scene. Don't watch if you're not familiar with the book/film.
The slow walk in the mist makes me giddy with glee. Imagine a scene like this in Outlander? le sigh...
Uh, I looooove P&P!! I especially love the one with Colin Firth......I've watched both of these so many times.ReplyDelete
Oh, and my other JA fav is "Persuasion". LOVE it!! Nice tear-jerkers to watch on rainy days......when you should be catching up on chores....but you just don't want to.
"giddy with glee" lol! That pretty much sums it up!
Oh my GOD! I'm searching for my copy right now. Must see again immediatelyReplyDelete
As Mr. Darcy emerges from the mist I swear I saw a kilt swinging around his knees!ReplyDelete
I love the lines -- "One word from you will silence me forever" and "You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love, I love you".
le sigh, indeed!
CAROL thank you but NOT FAIRReplyDelete
That should have come with a tissue warning lol.I've not seen it yet but can't resist spoilers.I just put it on while finishing my breakfast and then had to tell the kids why my eyes were "watering" :-). I'm going to search it out today and maybe the book as well.
We're in the middle of a mini heatwave here in the UK.
Most favorite scene of all time...Love... Love....Love it...ReplyDelete
I wait for it throughout the entire movie....
Carol -- this is amazing. I love it everytime I see it. OMG Marci is right...a quilt on Mr. Darcey would make it perfect. Major sigh...ReplyDelete
Love Darcy! But off the subject....I just saw something great. Go to signsfunny.com/tag/scottish-men-funny-picture. So funny!ReplyDelete
*siiggggghhhhhh* I know Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy is near perfection, but Matthew Macfayden's Mr. Darcy makes me weak in the knees.ReplyDelete
"I love, I love, I love you."ReplyDelete
Yowsa. I have never watched this version, as I could see no other Darcy but Colin Firth. But this is awesome. Thanks!ReplyDelete
Now, honestly... What has gotten me even MORE giddy with glee than this video is seeing a comment from GEORGIE!! Is it really you?! Are you THE Georgie of "Married to Amede" fame? : )ReplyDelete
Is it really Georgie?! We've heard so much about ye, lass! :-DReplyDelete
Yes it is her... she told me about commenting here yesterday as were driving across Indiana and back for a fundraiser for a friend of hers with cancer. She also said she considered jumping into chat last Monday as well but never has and didn't end up doing it.ReplyDelete
Yes, that's me, but now I'm a bit worried about what Clay tells you about me! You guys rock, and I love this blog. And I really love how much Clay loves your chats! Have a good one this evening!ReplyDelete
Georgie, Clay always has such wonderful things to say about you. It is verra sweet to hear how he is so absolutely, 100%, head over heels in love with you. :-)ReplyDelete
