Tracey's Hilarious Episode 213 Text to Me

In nervous anticipation of the upcoming Season 2 Outlander Finale, entitled "Dragonfly in Amber", Tracey texted me her findings in a local liquor store in Short Hills, NJ:

Back up the truck, y'all. Something tells me this won't be enough. LOL

  1. One more time: It may not be nearly enough. I think it's a good price though.

    1. That definitely made me chuckle. May I suggest something that IMHO that should also be displayed nearby ... lots & lots of kleenx tissues.

  2. You're not dense. Clearly I need to do a better job of explaining! 😘 We will need this much Cavit - and more - to get through the Season 2 finale...as well as the upcoming Droughtlander season. ❤️

    2. dolittle, There should be an acronym for that article because its so complete! In the future when I'm trying to express dismay and longing for book Outlander I can quickly refer to the article...sort of a "what she said"

  6. So right! I know I'm gonna need some liquid fortitude for this finale. I've been frequently disappointed this season, upset about the lack of relationship moments between J&C, but I'm really hoping they'll do justice to this part of the story. I wanna have one big beautifully ugly cry - for all the right reasons!

I read something recently that really nails many of the issues I've have had with this season. Worth a read if you're of a like mind:

    2. I just don't agree. I think that there's a lot in the book -- I'm on Book 6 and she's still dreaming of Frank for whatever reason. She still thinks about him. I think the wedding ring thing is done for space reasons -- there's no time to explain the years of conflict they had and I don't think they'll be doing that next season, either. Also, in Season 2 and in the book, Jamie is not okay and he can't stand being touched, even by Claire. I think, again, that France is like.....knitting. I mean, when I've felt traumatized in the past, I knit or sew and keep busy that way. Same thing in France: the pretty dresses, the intrigue, the making friends and going to parties while trying to accomplish something with Charlie Boy -- who, let's face it, is nothing but an idjeet right off and there's not ever going to be anything resembling progress with him -- all of that is to keep all busy. Jamie isn't there for her with Faith's birth and it's clear that Claire goes it alone. Their love story is at a low point and going home to Scotland is when they start to pick up their old rhythm. Other than make a 30-episode show (go for it, RM!), there's not going to be a way to show all the conflicts between the three of them.

  10. Doolittle, great link to a perfect description of how I have been feeling about Season 2 and about Ron Moore's destruction of Jamie and Claire's love story. I just don't think Moore will change direction because when I watch his youtube interviews he seems to hold the die hard book readers in contempt and probably hopes to replace them with a different audience. Really....a King pooping scene that goes on and on and no time to do justice to the love story of J&C. I hold no hope for Season 3 to be any better in portraying J&C. Sadly.

  11. Carol and Tracy, so looking forward to your video tonight. I watched the finale at midnight on Amazon Prime and will be interested to see what you gals think of it. You're videos have been more entertaining than most of the actual episodes. Mark me! I will be watching for your recap.
