  2. Omg! What does that mean. My heart...is that Jamie talking about Claire? Or Claire talking about Jamie? Written with my heart's blood...someone's blood is shed...what is written? Someone's dying blood? Can this be it??

  3. I can't even begin to think about what book 8 will bring, especially since it's supposed to be the last one. My heart is already breaking... Love the title!

  5. My mind is churning like crazy right now, but I love it!

I agree that it sounds kind of final and a bit ominous, but I guess if I heard "Echo in the Bone" out of context for the first time, I would think the same thing about that. I'm still going with the "Trilogy of Trilogies" idea, so I don't think this is it (c'mon, DG!!)

WWMHOB - wow, that's kind of a mouthful. lol

  8. Must have something to do with all those bloody letters Bri and Roger have from J&C...............honestly, how in the world could they NOT read them? I'm checking DG's twitter Daily Lines like some kind of heroine addict. Karen, how do you stay away from spoilers? I need help.......

  9. LAST BOOK??11 Who said that? I am not anywhere near ready to let Jamie or Claire go! What does the title mean?? Whose blood? Surely not Jamie's, not sure he has any left to spill or write a whole book :) So maybe someone else's? Like wee ho! Ah! that I can live with! OK thats my visual and I am sticking with it!

  12. Don't anybody panic, OK? No one has heard DG say it's the last book! She says she doesn't know yet if it's the last book or not (but she said something on Compuserve last night about still liking KING, FAREWELL as the title for the last book, so we will just have to hope this is not it!)

  13. Cari, I totally agree! My mind has been buzzing all day with ideas, associations, speculations based on this title. That's a good sign, I think.

And yes, WWMHOB is a mouthful. Even more difficult to spell than ABOSAA! :-) I like HEART'S BLOOD as an abbreviation, myself, but that's just an idea. We'll come up with some sort of consensus in the fan community over the next few weeks, I'm sure.

  14. Sorry to have misspoken about it being the last book. I had read somewhere that it was. I would love for Herself to continue writing as well, very happy to hear that she just might keep going!

  15. You know what... we heard that at brunch on Sunday in Atlanta. I had heard how nice and gracious she was, but she was much more of both than I was prepared for. Then Georgie and I went out to Eagle Eye Books. What a fun weekend! More later...

  16. OOOOH CLAY! I can't wait to hear from you and Christie at Chat tomorrow night!!!

  17. OOOH!!! Exciting! In Outlander Jenny refers to Ian as her "own heart's blood" when discussing the incident between her and Jack Randall.

  18. So hey--has anyone with a Kindle and all seven books on it done a phrase search to see if the title appears anywhere previously (not just "heart's own blood," though contexts for that would be interesting too). I definitely remember the phrase "echo in the/his/her bone" appearing somewhere in ABOSAA, which I noticed only because I read it AFTER Echo had been out already....

  19. Even 'dragonfly in amber' appeared in Outlander or Cross stitch. when jamie gives it to her when they meet hugh munro. I haven't come across voyager, drums of autumn or the fiery cross though !
